We had her on FaceTime for the majority of my labor. She was such an incredible beacon of support and I just can’t imagine not having her guidance and encouragement during my labor and delivery.

I had no idea what a doula really was one year ago. I met Emily when I did yoga teacher training; Emily was one of the lead instructors. She mentioned she was a doula and I asked her more about it knowing I wanted to start a family soon. I was intrigued and knew immediately I wanted to work with her. She is incredibly relatable, funny and has such an impressive depth of knowledge. I never felt judged by her, she was a constant source of encouragement, positivity, reassurance and wisdom. I felt extremely empowered and well-informed from working with her and as a person who loves details, Emily was full of them, which for me was comforting. Working with Emily gave me more confidence to have a natural birth. The resources that she sent/suggested to my husband and I throughout my pregnancy were so informative and simply invaluable. Emily reminded me that there is a difference in pain vs. suffering and this mentality went a long way with me. Our entire relationship was virtual due to Covid-19 and we had her on FaceTime for the majority of my labor. She was such an incredible beacon of support and I just can’t imagine not having her guidance and encouragement during my labor and delivery. She did such a beautiful job of helping coach me through one of the most difficult experiences of my life and I’ll forever be grateful. It was in the depths of when I was really struggling in my 25-hour labor that Emily was worth her weight in gold to keep me progressing forward with as much strength as I could. I will absolutely work with her again for future pregnancies. Throughout this journey of pregnancy and birth, we’ve become friends. It’s so clear that Emily is truly passionate about supporting families on their journey through pregnancy and birth. She makes working with her as affordable and accessible as possible. My husband and I are beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her!
